How does it Work?

During the digestive process, the body converts carbohydrates into sugar. The body does this by breaking down the carbohydrate molecule with alpha amylase, an enzyme that is produced in the pancreas. The sugar is then used as energy for the body, or stored as fat.

StarchLite "neutralizes" the digestive enzyme alpha amylase--temporarily delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates--allowing a portion of them to pass through the system before they can be converted into glucose, and then fat. This both reduces the caloric impact and lowers the GI of the carbohydrates consumed.
